Join us on Tuesday, April 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Roths Alumni Center inside the Dugan-Gorges Library on campus at Newman University. Award-winning teacher and author Dr. Akiiki “Daisy” Kabagarama is a native of Uganda. For the past thirty-one years, she has lived, worked and raised her family in the USA.

Dr. Kabagarama is a graduate of Makerere University, Uganda; Iowa State University and Wesley Theological Seminary. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Masters’ degrees in Community and Regional Planning, Divinity, Theology, and a Doctorate in Sociolgy. She has served as a Professor, Minister, University Campus Pastor, Television Program Host and Diversity/Peace Consultant. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at Butler Community College, Friends University, Newman University and Wichita State University. Author of nine books, Dr. Kabagarama communicates best through drumming, poetry and storytelling. She is a wife, mother and grandmother. Her mission is to promote peace and understanding among all people.
